The bad is winning the war and the good is been overwhelmed! Nothing seems to be working. There’s so much negativity around. Poverty is biting hard. Lives and properties are not secure. Unemployment rates are high. Infrastructural decay is too severe. Health indices are nothing to write home about. The future of the young and old, schooled or unschooled, is bleak. The economy is at an all-time low. When we think we’ve reached the proverbial Promised Land, we discover that we’ve only rejoiced at a mirage. Then someone asked how we shall come out of this quagmire we’ve found ourselves in. Someone else answered that we need an attitudinal re-engineering. But this can not happen without a mental reorientation.
I like to be practical. Pragmatic. So I’m asking: how will this much-needed mental reorientation happen? Are we going to employ neurosurgeons and ask them to start opening people’s skulls and implanting CPU’s? No way. Or pick folks with the right mentality, then clone their brains and let neurosurgeons transplant these copies into the heads of folks with the wrong mentality? Sci-fi stuff that’s not possible for now! So how will it happen?
All around us, everybody goes around with ideas in their heads. Everybody lives their lives based on a set of ideas. Some of these ideas are good while the others are bad. But ideas are living organisms themselves and just like disease-causing germs, they can spread from one host to the other. There are many factors that determine the specifics of how an idea spreads from one person to the other but the fact remains that the spread happens.
And both the good and the bad ideas spread. And believe me: the bad ideas spread faster than the good ones. That’s why the good ideas actually require a deliberate, borderline laborious effort to propagate. Unfortunately, the goodness or badness of the situation of a society depends on the net balance of how many people carry the good or the bad ideas around respectively. How many people carry what ideas depend on how much the particular idea has circulated. And worse still, the more prevalent an idea is, the more its capacity to survive into the next generation. Snowballing effect, anyone?
This is why your need to promote your ideas comes in. If ideas exist in some sort of competition matrix floating all around us, then you can not afford to keep your good ideas to yourself. If your ideas are good and you refuse to spread them, then the bad ideas will prevail. And when the bad ideas prevail, there will be more of folks with the wrong mindsets around. And when there are more of such people around, more of them will get into the positions of power. And when more of them get into positions of power, our lives will look like the lives of those being ruled by such people. I mean, exactly like our lives look right now.
“If your ideas are good and you refuse to spread them, then the bad ideas will prevail. And when the bad ideas prevail, there will be more of folks with the wrong mindsets around. And when there are more of such people around, more of them will get into the positions of power. And when more of them get into positions of power, our lives will look like the lives of those being ruled by such people. I mean, exactly like our lives look right now.”
This is why you need to resist every instance of tomfoolery and negative mentality with all your ‘heart and soul’. You can not afford to let the ideological weed outgrow the ideological crops. The ideological war is on: join me in the militancy for sound ideology today and rescue humanity. This is exactly what we shall be doing on this blog. You’ll be reading some things and you’ll be like ‘Yes, I also think the same thing oooooo….‘ I shall be a non-conformist in every sense of the word as that is what is necessary to add momentum to the paradigm shift. This is why I’ve started this blog today April 1st, 2016. Welcome to Peter Keyz’s blog!
